meet the founders

In 2007, Hamptons residents Amanda Moszkowski and Diane Weinberger set out to start the first marathon on the East End of Long Island.

Now in its 19th year, Amanda and Diane remain the race directors and the Hamptons Marathon has established a reputation as being a premier running event, regularly attracting participants from around the world.

Amanda and Diane established Hamptons Marathon, Inc., the 501(c)(3) corp that owns the event, and have remained committed to donating its net proceeds to local charities.

In total, the event has donated more than $900,000 to Southampton charities and the greater Hamptons community. To learn more about this year’s charity beneficiaries click here
